Lost our camera charger....sad times.

So, sad sad news. We (and by we I mean me) have lost our camera charger. We haven't been able to take pictures since we moved out of our apartment (which was July 6th). So there will be no pictures in this post. I'm busy trying to round up the pictures everyone else has been taking. But here is an update on our sweet sweet girl.

Aiden went in for her 12 month well child visit and was not even 18lbs yet!!! Looks like that car seat of hers will be facing backwards for a LONG time. She was in the 25% in her height and in the 5% in her weight!!! Of course I was concerned that she was starving to death, but her doctor reassured me that this was just what was normal for our petite little girl.

Our girl is saying more and more these days! She says: no, momma, daddy, Jake(which sounds like Geek), Josh(which sounds like Douche), BubBub(Uncle trevors given name), Steen (Aunt Christine), Sadie(Yay Yay), Mulan(andrew's dog), Dog, Cat, Hand, Feet....the list goes on and on. It is fun times listening to her.

It seems like just a few weeks ago she was taking her first timid steps...now she is RUNNING! Still working on the stopping part, but the girl loves to run. And somewhere along the line she learned to Twirl(which she only does when wearing a dress or skirt of course).

Tomorrow Andrew and I have to go visit some daycares. Now with both of us working alot we need to put Aiden in some kind of day care. Im sure this will be much harder on me and him then it will be on her. She loves other kids and i'm sure she will welcome the chance of having some new playmates.

Well that's all I have for now. I will work on the whole picture thing....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDEN!! (and some fathers day pictures)

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!? It's been one whole year already! Its so strange to think that just one year ago today I was meeting my beautiful Aiden for the first time. And now shes walking and talking. In spite of any troubles the last year may have brought our new little family, the joy that Aiden has given me has made it all worth it.

For her birthday we decided to just have a small family b.b.q. at a local park. Seeing how none of my extended family lives in Utah it was pretty much Andrew's family and my Mom. But it was wonderful to have Aiden surrounded by people that love her so much. (Thank you to everyone who pitched in and brought food, which was pretty much all of you)

Now before I get to the pictures I will tell you about her and Andrew's first Father's Day. We decided to take Aiden on her first trip to the zoo. It was a good bonding experience for the both of them.
.....now, on to the pictures(and maybe if your good I'll throw in a video or two).

Her cute birthday cake(Thanks to Victoria! They were a total hit!)

A precious moment with Aunt Christine.

"yum!"

This couch was from Bub-Bub (aka uncle trevor). As he said "it can fold out, for when her dead beat boyfriend stays over."

She was so delicate with her "smash cake"....i did not expect that.

Glam-ma Jackie decided to step in.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!...And happy Zoo Day

Aiden next to an Elephant femur.

So thats all for now, I'll try to post some more birthday pics tomorrow...there are alot to choose from. "nigh nigh"

Month 11. (yes i skipped months8-10)

So much has happend in our family(obviously, it's been 4 months sense my last post). Aiden is taking steps all the time now. She has become more independent, which is nice but also makes me a little sad. I'm starting to realize that she's not my little baby I took home from the hospital 11 months ago. She is learning new words everyday, she is a very vocal child. She brings so much joy to my life I can't remember what life was like with out her.

look at those beautiful eyes, and pretty lips!

"pre-ee!" That's how Aiden says "pretty" if that wasn't clear. Cool story about that egg, it's not an easter egg. Aiden received this special egg on a stick from her Uncle Saba when I was still pregnant with her on Persian New Year. It is special to her.

cute!

pasta in sauce = adorable mess!

some videos for you.

Month 7 begins!

Aiden is 7 months old now!!! She is becoming more and more fun for Andrew and I. She is doing so many new things.
She has discovered how to wave and is now waving at everything: music, water, the dog, her shoes, etc. it's adorable. She says Dada, Baba, Muh, Ma, Lala, Ha, Buh, Gob(i have no idea what this could possibly be...maybe grandpa?), and many different combinations of these "words". She is an accomplished Sippy drinker. And she can eat cheerios (and anything else she finds). She has started in on some serious separation anxiety, which makes for anxiety for mommy and daddy. She crawls up stairs and pulls up to stand on anything! Our Aiden is so anxious to grow up!
This month we had a family trip with Uncle Trevo_ and Aunt Steen to Park City for Sundance. Aiden did pretty good in the cold weather. She got to see her first celebrities(how exciting).
Health update: not to scare any of you reading this but Aiden is sick, if she doesn't kick this cough she has soon the doctor may start her on some Asthma medication. We hope this is not the case but i will keep you updated with how our girl is doing.
Enjoy these pictures!!

And now i leave you with this....so cute!

Month 5-6

Alright Alright, so I'm horrible at keeping up with this blog. But when I do post isn't it just so sweet?

Month five was busy busy busy for our girl. We traveled (in the car) for close to 12 hours(did i mention that it was in the car) to California for Thanksgiving. Aiden met all of her extended family, and then she met some REALLY extended family. She got to have a baby shower thrown for her by my dad's parents. As if this girl needed anything else. But it was alot of fun and she was excited to meet her great grandparents for the first time.

Side note: Mommy turned 20 on November 27th!

Aiden has been army crawling around on the floor for sometime now and on Christmas eve (her 6th month birthday) she hopped up on her knees and crawled a little(mommy was at work when this happened, poor sad mommy). But she really started crawling on New Years Eve...and now...she's all over the place!!! She is loving her new freedom.

Now for our girls first Christmas: Oh the fun! She was liking all the shinny bows and she enjoyed eating all the wrapping paper! And this lucky girl celebrated Christmas three times in one day! (she was pooped by the end of it). She was showered with so many presents mommy and daddy are having a hard time finding a place to put it all.

Our party girl was all partied out by New Years Eve. She was cranky and teething and slept most of the time.

And now for our Doctor update. She went in for her well child visit January 2nd. She is 25 inches long and weighs 15 lbs. 7 oz. she's in about the fiftieth percentile in everything except her height(she's kinda short, just like her mommy).

And now what you've all been waiting for....pictures!

Bath time fun!

Aiden likes to try to catch the water...it's pretty cute.

Look at those sweet lips. (never mind her elf ears, which i happen to think are pretty cute!)

smile....

and hide. (she likes this game)

Mommy love.

Me, Grouchy-Aiden, and Ryleigh at Thanksgiving.

Daddy and Baby! Dad is very into what ever was on T.V.

Aiden and Great Grandma Ybarra

Great Grandpa Ybarra...she liked him.

Driving home...this is a picture of her before she decided that 12 hours is far to long to be in the car(i agree with her).

The Pope? (notice the small discoloration on her upper lip, that is the end of a staph infection)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Her first stocking! she really had no idea what was going on.

Dazed and Confused.

One of her new favs.

Sleepy girl.

Resting up for round 2 and 3.

cute onsie outfit (thanks Uncle Trevo_ and Aunt Steen)

Whelp, that's all for now i promise I'll try to do better with this blog (it's one of my new year's resolutions)

Oh i forgot.

silly me i didn't put any pics. of Aiden's first attempt at solid foods. it was, of course, a mess but she seemed to have a lot of fun. enjoy these pictures.

At this point she was mostly slurping the cereal not really taking bites. The cereal was more of a soup consistency anyways.

sloppy bites now. notice how this big girl already wants to hold her own spoon. She was pretty fixated on the spoon for the length of her feeding.

"screw the cereal, just give me the spoon."

sweet da-da!

finally a real bite! VICTORY!

4 Months old

We went to the doctor today, she is weighing in at 13lbs. 1 oz. and is 24 3/4 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile in everything...she's just perfect. She had a mishap at Grandma Jackie's house, she did a series of rolls and scratched her head on a jagged piece of plastic. ouch! She's eating baby cereal and she seems to really like it. Mommy and Daddy went to Vegas...Mommy was freaking out most of the time. but to my surprise she was fine without us. she is just too easy.

Sitting up!! Alone!

"no more pictures please."

Cute!

one sweet head band!

booger sucker...her number one enemy.

mama hugs for a sleepy girl. "good night"

"Happy Halloween!" from your little Flower Child. enjoy the next few pics of her adorable costume and Halloween jammas.

she is mesmerized by any camera or cell phone.

"I'm big!"

Hahaha! this pic was taken at Daddy and Uncle Trevo_'s urging. it is pretty cute.
